I have always had and loved dogs ...The Dachshunds appeared in my life a few years ago, when my daughter Costanza, then aged 5, had this intuition that this particular breed would be ideal for our family.

Never underestimate the insights of children. Time demonstrated she was right.

The German Dachshund appears as homey type of dog. However, as everybody knows, the habit does not make a friar.

Dachshund is “The Dog”.

Take your Dachshunds with you in the countryside, on a mountain path, they will demonstrate what they are capable of.

If you expect to walk them around in fashionable clothes and leash, you are very wrong!

The Dachshunds is a hunting dog and must not be humiliated .... their nose is always on the ground ... Let them do what they really like. To see them digging with the power of a mastiff is a sight to behold.

If you encourage their natural inclinations, you will live with a happy dog.

In the end, I don’t want to say that you really have to go hunting with the Dachshunds. I’m not a hunter and I never will be, but with my Dachshunds I have learned to overcome my laziness.

When I have some time, I go for a long walk with my Dachshunds just for the fun of seeing them joyfully jumping around. These are among the most beautiful moments of my day and my heart feels light like a feather .....
